  1. Out of the dark earth life arises! Isn't this unexpected warmth wonderful! More than rumors by today? The blue/white in your painting makes me think of the ice crystals still around.

    1. Hi Stephanie! Yes, you're right! The rumors are now confirmed. We've had a very mild winter here, but that doesn't always mean that Spring is arriving. Spring is that really strange season. Today, it is masquerading as Summer. Delightful - while it lasts.

    1. Hello Eric! Thank you. You've got it! The earth is warming, but the late nights/early mornings are still cold. Along with this, the night skies have been spectacularly clear, with the Moon, Jupiter, Venus and myriad stars casting the most wonderful light. Spring is coming! I'm hoping this season, this year will be as enchanting as the past two weeks have been.

Je me sens compris, mon ami!

  4. Happy Easter Dear Sharon.. to you and your family!!

Yes it is me the slacker!! finally visiting blogs and catching up on a little of yours... I want to say I love the last painting.. the anticipation of flight.. a flight of a different kind... You've captured that tension and ??? force of energy right before it occurs.. or whilst it is trapped and building

Have a wonderful Easter and I hope the weather is warming for you.. it's been absolutely perfect weather here in Sydney over the last week.. better than summer and then wham.. it's turned cold.. or colder!!

    ciao ciao xxx Julie
    Pardon my slackness!!

    1. Hi Julie! Always happy when you drop by...no worries. Seems like I've joined the slacker club, too! Sometimes life just demands a lot of attention. Glad you loved the 'To Fly Elsewhere' portrait. I always enjoy your comments.

The weather here just seems so unpredictable. It might be spring today, then again - maybe not. But you're coastal too, and from your statement above, we seem to share the same patterns...even if it's totally opposite seasons! Take care. And I'm hoping you're back in the perfect weather zone again. xxx Sharon

  5. Hi Sharon, This painting captures the bleakness of winter and the little bursts of spring. Great title!
It's been a chilly spring with a couple of warm, sunny days that catch us off guard. Yesterday was the first flip-flop day.

  6. Hi Carole! Welcome and Thank You!

Yeah, we had such a mild winter here that I was looking forward to a wonderful early spring. It has come, but there are still so many grey chilly days and nights that are just too cold. It's created such an interesting patchwork of areas of towns where things are in full bloom and areas where things haven't gotten the message yet! Springtime, here, always seem to travel with it's own agenda.

  7. this is wondrous, the starry sky invading, penetrating our world here, the trees, the earth, everything united in the spring explosion of life...
